JB’s Fish Sauce and if so, is it worth it? Just wanted some real reports from real fishermen that have tried it. I know for me when the fish are really biting it doesn’t matter what you use but curious on days when the bite is off if it would help. Thanks.

What the fudge? That stuff is supposed to go on your lures? I thought it was like hot sauce and shake it right on my fried fish. Not a big fan, I have to say.

Based on mine and my brothers experience with another similar product (Dr Juice) I can definitely say they work sometimes. My experience was ice fishing walleyes. Sometimes during the day you had to have it on and others not. That was on LOTW. My brother had great success with it a few years ago ice fishing Saginaw Bay. He used the stuff all season for more than one year. I tried it on one LOTW trip.
I quit using it ice fishing because it was messy. Oily film on water, the line you reeled through it and consequently everything else. I only tried the one product.

I am a big fan! Of course it has its time and place but more times then not it has improved the catch rate. Sometimes it’s not as noticeable as others but I can tell you without a doubt it has never hurt to have it on. And with 5 different options to choose from there is something for everyone. Just my personal opinion.

JB’s fish sauce works great. It definitely helps IMO. I tried the garlic scent in the gel this past winter for panfish. I have to say there was days where I would out fish my buddies and they would be using the same bait but no sauce. The stuff stays on your jig or bait for a long time you don’t have to put it on steady. I liked it so well I just ordered some of the baitfish scent also. I don’t think you would be disappointed!

I have used the garlic and anise scents from JB’S and have used them both open water and on ice. Picked up the baitfish scent for this year also. They definitely make a difference in my opinion. I have started soaking my bass plastics in them already for open water. In a tougher bite they’ve made the difference on bites for sure.
