Hello, I run a small youtube channel called Hardfishing. I am looking for some intresting ideas to try to do while im on the lake to film. I dont want to do challenges a whole ton and just normal fishing can get boring. So if you see this post, please if you could give me some ideas that would be awsome. Im not trying to promote myself I just dont know where else to ask for some good video topics becided the channel.

Since you ARE here to promote yourself how about posting a BIO. Where you from, how long you been fishing, whats your species of choice, you know stuff we might find interesting.

Geez, rough crowd here…not sure all the grief was warranted.

Hardfishing – personally I really like equipment reviews as well as tips on how to use different presentations. I find the big pages usually sell their videos as showing tips, etc… but end up being a sales pitch for their products (which I understand).

I didn’t give him any grief. I just wanted to know about him. He popped up here to sell himself, at least we should know who he is and where he is from.

I would argue some people struggle with this skill. whistling

That being said when I watch youtube vids on fishing I like videos that teach and not videos that sell. Explain why you are fishing where you are fishing, or using the technique you are using. When filming about a technique do the video on that and only that, anything else is for a new video. I don’t necessarily care how many fish someone catches in one video.

Whatever you do, make sure your fishing activity is all legal that you post on youtube or on this forum or any other public social media. Once upon a time, like a day or two ago…a fella posted his youtube video here titled “First time on Mille Lacs. His public display revealed what looked to be (allegedly) fishing after the night closure 10:00 pm. Not sure what became of the young fella but all evidence of his nocturnal “activities” have evaporated from this here forum. Like it never happened! blush
