I am pretty sure this one is going to show up in your viral feeds.

    What is wrong with people

No laws were broken? False. Also the po po said they did not witness a crime, but hello, there is video.

I would have stomped on the fish or gutted it right there. What is wrong with people. Why do people think annoying and harassing people is going to change people? I guarantee these cream puffs were not raised right.

    Also…BOB HOPE lol

I think the turn out would be different if that happened anywhere up here and also not at a public park

I don’t want to go to jail. I think if this happened to be I would turn it around on them and be annoying as heck. Nothing better than a frustrated social justice warrior. And as you people know, I can be quite annoying. coffee

After seeing this made me think what would I do if this happen to me? I tried to google different ways of protecting myself but the only thing that comes up is how nonviolent protest work. I wouldn’t want to cause any harm to the person but would want them to leave me alone. I know I could call 911. Is that the only thing we can do as the victim of a protest?

I think so. The first person to lay a hand on someone loses. Unless they lay a hand on you and you “defend” yourself…

@mplspug1 — the quote from the article that kills me is “As far as the fish, the police department says since it wasn’t in a bucket or cooler or there is really no way to prove who owned the fish.” — Is that for real in Florida, or is that PD just full of crap? I’d like to see an over-the-limit shore angler make that argument while standing next to a pile of fish with a line in the water doah

The way I would approach it:

1.) Start filming the second I feel harassed or threatened.

2.) Calmly state that While I acknowledge their right to protest and voice their opinions, I am a licensed fisherman following the letter of the law and I won’t be intimidated by their activism.

3.) Explain that the authorities will be called the second they attempt to harm me or my property, including the fish I’ve legally harvested.

Sounds to me like the PD didn’t want any part of it, thus enabling and emboldening these freaks to keep doing the same thing. The problem is becoming that authorities don’t want to deal with people like this because they don’t want the backlash. I think the excuse of the officer of whoever that arrived was that she didn’t want to be filmed and new that these “protesters” like the attention of taunting authorities into action, especially on film.

If you don’t punish children, they continue to misbehave.

I think the most disgusting part is they force their kid to confront them first. Who does that?

How much fun would it have been to catch a fish and take a picture of it with them in the background. hah

Just tell them that that big fish is a murder. He has killed so many small fish and other animals over the years and you finally caught him to bring him to justice in the frying pan.

It’s not because the cops don’t want backlash. It’s because they know these fools will just get off without so much as a slap on the wrist by a judge. Same thing happens with other fish and game laws.

I know we are joking about these clowns, and I’d like to think this wouldn’t happen in MN where fishing is much more a part of our culture. However, if anyone feels they are being harassed in a similar situation, I would recommend calling a CO or Sheriff who is likely much more familiar with the laws against this, rather than a city cop.

I doubt that I would have put up with it for very long, maybe two seconds worth.
then it would of been over the bridge with them.
sure, they have a legal right to think and protest, but it is flat out illegal for them to harass someone like that,at least here it is.

I am lucky here to know a couple of boys in uniform that if called out on this type of behavior,I would of had help tossing their panty waist arses over that bridge.

I have to wonder though, what do they eat that had to die for them to survive??
it could be plant,animal,fish,etc.etc. something has to die for us to eat.
sounds like to me that they are a little bit double standard-ish before they act out.

    Catch fish.

    Drop fish on ground.

Smash fish head with sneaker while staring directly into dbags eyes.

After guy comes at me its self defense, nothing I can do but protect my family at that point.

At that point one of 2 things happens. They either get violent with you and you then have a right to defend yourself or they curl up in the fetal position and suck their thumbs, unable to cope with the traumatic killing they have witnessed.

I agree with Iowa boy. What do they eat and where do they think it comes from? What really bugs me is people feel they can interfere with your legal activity just because they don’t like it and we are supposed to put up with it. Used to be some Dbag pulled a stunt like this there would be a fight.

Wow all I have to say is wow. I’ve heard of this kind of thing happening but never actually seen it on video. I have to say that even though the police didn’t see anything illegal happening or if they took them in for disturbing the peace the protesters would get way more publicity and probably would have more entitled millennial protests. I’m at the generation before the millenials and these people make me sick. They claim free speech but in turn ruin our right to fish and pursue happiness. Good news though eventually these millenials will have to get a real job and the real world will smack them right in the kisser. Count on it.

He says science says fish feel pain like us. Must have read a different study than the one that says they don’t.

“Would you kill a child”? That’s a leap that even Evel Knievel wouldn’t attempt.

These same loonies staged something at a Chick-Fil-A. I’d like to now where they live and throw guts and meat on their property.

this has been around for some time,I dont know who the author is but it certainly wasnt from a speech given by Bill Gates even though it was credited to him several times in the past, still a good read that ought to be taught at least twice a year from kindergarten all the way through twelfth grade.

I realize this may not fit well with this thread but for what ever reason I felt compelled to post it as it is a fact of life, those snot nose punks in the video should read this too along with being thrown on an island and left to fend for themselves for a month or two.

maybe then they will realize that what was given to us for food to eat and make clothes out of is a natural thing to do.
when they got hungry enough,I doubt that they would much give a s… about a fishes ability or any other animal for that matter feeling pain.

Rule No. 1: Life is not fair. Get used to it. The average teen-ager uses the phrase “It’s not fair” 8.6 times a day. You got it from your parents, who said it so often you decided they must be the most idealistic generation ever. When they started hearing it from their own kids, they realized Rule No. 1.
Rule No. 2: The real world won’t care as much about your self-esteem as much as your school does. It’ll expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself. This may come as a shock. Usually, when inflated self-esteem meets reality, kids complain that it’s not fair. (See Rule No. 1)

Rule No. 3: Sorry, you won’t make $40,000 a year right out of high school. And you won’t be a vice president or have a car phone either. You may even have to wear a uniform that doesn’t have a Gap label.

Rule No. 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait ’til you get a boss. He doesn’t have tenure, so he tends to be a bit edgier. When you screw up, he’s not going to ask you how you feel about it.

Rule No. 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping. They called it opportunity. They weren’t embarrassed making minimum wage either. They would have been embarrassed to sit around talking about Kurt Cobain all weekend.

Rule No. 6: It’s not your parents’ fault. If you screw up, you are responsible. This is the flip side of “It’s my life,” and “You’re not the boss of me,” and other eloquent proclamations of your generation. When you turn 18, it’s on your dime. Don’t whine about it, or you’ll sound like a baby boomer.

Rule No. 7: Before you were born your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way paying your bills, cleaning up your room and listening to you tell them how idealistic you are. And by the way, before you save the rain forest from the blood-sucking parasites of your parents’ generation, try delousing the closet in your bedroom.

Rule No. 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers. Life hasn’t. In some schools, they’ll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. Failing grades have been abolished and class valedictorians scrapped, lest anyone’s feelings be hurt. Effort is as important as results. This, of course, bears not the slightest resemblance to anything in real life. (See Rule No. 1, Rule No. 2 and Rule No. 4.)

Rule No. 9: Life is not divided into semesters, and you don’t get summers off. Not even Easter break. They expect you to show up every day. For eight hours. And you don’t get a new life every 10 weeks. It just goes on and on. While we’re at it, very few jobs are interested in fostering your self-expression or helping you find yourself. Fewer still lead to self-realization. (See Rule No. 1 and Rule No. 2.)

Rule No. 10: Television is not real life. Your life is not a sitcom. Your problems will not all be solved in 30 minutes, minus time for commercials. In real life, people actually have to leave the coffee shop to go to jobs. Your friends will not be as perky or pliable as Jennifer Aniston.

Probably the same prick that broke into our car at the beach there, popped the trunk, and took all wallets and purses. You try and get the police to help you on that one, good luck down there. Now try and get on a plane for the return flight home with no ID, credit cards, or police report, with them having other things to do.

That was about 10 years ago so not sure if it was this guy but i bet that’s how they make a living.

Whenever I see left wing lunatics acting out I remind myself it is one of the reasons HRC is not in the White House.
