    Happy Thanksgiving All!!

The Boys talked me into a late season goose hunt before the festivities today lol

No birds yet, but we can hunt until 10. We’re in our neighbor’s field that’s had birds in it the last few evenings (not sure about mornings, we’re all out of the house before daylight on work/school days)

Geese have been moving right at sunrise with the colder temperatures, but I hear them milling about all morning.

    Yes – Happy Thanksgiving.

This forum is a great place to converse on things and even learn a thing or two. Even disagreements are handled (for the most part) with a level of respect … almost like we are talking face to face. Rather uncommon in this day and age on the internet.

My reentry into ice fishing (well I got much more serious) about 5 years ago was greatly aided by all the discussions on this forum.

I think I have shared that I am upping the quality of all my gear as I get closer to considering retirement. Better rods and reels (summer and ice), better electronics, better hunting gear, etc… Everything except clothing … still kind of a rags (vs. new tags) guy.

Hopefully everyone has a blessed day today and gets to enjoy a hot meal.
We are going to the in-laws and then my sister’s. We called ahead of time to ask if we could make a big plate for the old lady across the street, her husband was admitted to full time memory care unit about a month ago and he was the one who ran the house so she has been struggling.

Very nice of you! We would bring Thanksgiving dinner to my parents and then the leftovers had meals we dropped off to two old ladies they were friends with a couple blocks away. They had family around, but no one ever came over it was pretty sad. One has died now and the other was put in a nursing home, no idea if she is still around or not. They sure loved those meals though.

    I’m still stuffed!
Food was great, I way over ate yesterday.
Might need to go rip some pull tabs to burn off some of these calories. wink
