My wife is headed to Vegas tonight until Monday night for a bachelorette party. flame So I received my father’s day gifts last night. She must have felt guilty since I received a fishing reel and hand full of lures. But the best must be the card my son made me (7 year old). This is just the cover and it just got better as I flipped the pages. shock I don’t think I am making the father of the year award.

Have a great father’s day everyone.

Oh Lord, that is cute and funny! So you’re flying solo for the week, eh? Are you thinking of what else you can teach him while the Mrs. is gone? devil jester

Good for her for going to Vegas! Everyone needs time off now and then, though I personally have never met that many women I’d be willing to spend a week with in Vegas for a bachelorette party. coffee

The swearing is all from my wife. She thought it was funny when he was young to leave voice mails to her family member and friends like “my mom says go f yourself we love you, bye”. It drives me nuts and I won’t let him swear. I am looking forward to our weekend together.

Being the old curmudgeon of this site I see nothing funny about it. IMO thats not anything you allow or encourage a kid to do. But the fact that nobody else said anything in over 24 hours shows I have a different view of things.

    Please delete this thread.

I am sorry for trying to vent my frustration on this site. This is not the place to do it and there are more important things to cover like fishing. Hope everyone has a great Father’s Day weekend.

Diversity is the spice of life.

If ya met Mr.Rodwork Dutch I could probably guarantee he’s the type of fellow whos kids aren’t swearing in public or anything of the sorts. I personally think it is fun when kids know when they can let loose with certain people and in certain situations. Shows a level of intelligence and observation to their surroundings much of the electronic generation is lacking nowadays.

Is that fishing line attached to the front of that card?

Those crappie killer jigs you and he tied up for me last year were just that this spring, thanks again man!
