    The only holiday where we purposely torment many of our veterans (with combat PTSD) and dogs (mans best friend) for days/weeks on end. Merica!

    For someone with that perspective I can’t speak for everyone but myself and a lot of vets I know aren’t real bothered by these scheduled fireworks shows because we know they’re coming and are prepared for them.

    It’s when you’re running errands in town and some kids light off some firecrackers they just bought from the Walmart parking lot at 5pm, long before the real fireworks starts. That’s what’s startling makes you look around for which direction you’re taking fire from.
