2 parts Heinz 57 sauce, 1 part honey. Baste it, inject some also if you want. Simple, gives it a little kick, it’s my favorite.

Yeah. I really like it. Maybe if your a little curious mix a little in a bowl and try with your finger before going all in for Christmas dinner. But I love it.

Thanks. I’ll need to think on that. I don’t like the stuff on steak so I don’t know that I wanna try it on Ham. But thanks for the suggestion.

    Steak sauce?

I’ve had this recipe using A1 steak sauce as well.

Personally, I mix brown sugar, honey and maple syrup until it is a runny paste and slather the ham about 20 minutes before it is done. Since I smoke my ham, it already has a mustard and spice rub before going in the smoker.

Here’s a simple one I liked so much on ham I ended up making jerky with it.

    1/2
    cup honey
    2
    tablespoons packed brown sugar
    1
    to 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
    1
    clove garlic, finely chopped

Skewer pineapple slices all over the ham, cake in brown sugar. Few cloves stuck in here and there.

The ham is secondary for this guy, and this makes the best darned gravy I’ve ever had. Use cornstarch not flour for thickening the juices. Seriously could put it in a coffee mug and just sip on it for the night.

A cup of pineapple juice and a cup of brown sugar. Add 1/2 cup of white corn syrup and a couple tablespoons of butter and simmer until the brown sugar is dissolved. Peg a few whole cloves randomly on the top of the ham and pour this on top. Peg a few whole cherry across the animal and bake as per suggested. Use the pan drippings to re-coat the ham occasionally.

The corn syrup will help the glaze stick to the ham’s surface and at the same time make the glaze a bit glossier. Doesn’t add much more sweetness but that’s what the brown sugar is for. If you can, get un-sweetened pineapple juice. Frozen is fine but mix it with about 2/3 of the water to help bring the flavor forward. You can even add a small can of crushed pineapple to this.

Google Chris Lilly ham glaze. Awesome. Used it for a few years now.
