Waiting for doc apt this morning I found a great looking glaze recipe in a magazine that meant for pork or ham. Its another bourbon recipe. Just made it and man is the fresh end of this good. Maybe have to pour a glass full before I get this on tonight’s ham. Very simple recipe.

1/2 cup of favorite bbq sauce….I used Sweet Baby Rays
1/2 cup of orange marmalade….I used Schmuckers
1/2 cup of jellied cranberry sauce…..I used Ocean Spray
1/2 cup of bourbon…..I used Ezra Brooks, my favorite cooking boubon

Mix in a bowl and blend well with a wire whisk. Baste the meat during the final 15 to 30 minutes of cooking.

I’ll try to get a pic of the ham when finished if I can remember it. I made enough to keep in the fridge for some baby backs I have in the freezer on another day.

Thanks Steve. I’ve been finger dipping this since I made it and the time mixed up has really done wonders to this. Ham and pork can handle a citrusy glaze or sauce real well and this one should be great.

Mix it up in the morning so it can sit for a few hours. Really does something sitting.

Where’s the drool emoji? This sounds amazing, Tom, and now I’m craving a big slice of ham! With a side of mac and cheese of course! I’m going to have to share this recipe with Billy. grin

The ham was on sale locally and I found this recipe waiting on a doctor. I had it in mind to get a picture of the ham when it came out of the oven but Ma and her stiletto got to the meat before I had a chance for a pic. The stuff is savory on ham. I mentioned before that grilled baby backs were next up for this sauce and I am certain that this will be a winner there too.
