    Ham and Swiss Sliders

    Ingredients
    4 tablespoons melted butter
    1 tablespoons Dijon mustard
    1 tablespoon honey
    1 tablespoon dried parsley
    1 package sweet Hawaiian rolls
½ pound thinly sliced cooked deli honey ham
½ pound thinly sliced Swiss cheese

    Instructions
~ Preheat over to 350 degrees.
~ In a small bowl stir together the melted butter, mustard, honey, and dried parsley.
~ Do not pull the rolls apart, simply use a large serrated knife to slice the rolls in half as you would slice a bagel, separating the tops from the bottoms.
~ Spray a 9×12 glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, and place the layer of bun bottoms into the prepared baking pan, cut side up.
~ Layer half of the ham onto the rolls. Next, layer the Swiss cheese over the ham, and top with remaining ham slices. Place the layer of bun tops onto the sandwiches.
~ Brush the butter mixture evenly over the rolls (don’t have to use all the butter mixture).
~ Cover pan with tinfoil and bake for 12 minutes. Remove tinfoil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Feel free to prep these ahead of time and refrigerate, covered, for up to 4 hours before baking at the same time/temps.

Variations – you can also use turkey or other cheeses, and add a pinch of onion powder or garlic powder to the butter mixture.

    Enjoy!

Yum. I better get my wife’s spam surprise melts recipe in here. Just had them this week.
I know it includes grating the spam which would probably arouse BK.

The version of this I know is a whole stick of butter, dijon mustard, worcestershire, and dried onion. Refrigerated overnight (I never do this but it has to be for a few hours at least) to soak it all up into the bread.

    Spam surprise

    Grate 1 can of spam
    2 Tbs catsup (lol)
    Small Onion chopped
Approx 1 cup grated cheese. Maybe a little more. We use half a bag of pre grated cheddar.
Enough mayo to pull it all together into a spread like tuna fish.

Spread thick onto each half of a hamburger bun face up.
Bake on cookie sheet 350 approx 15 min or until hot all the way through. We broil for a bit to finish and brown the edges of the buns. Very rich. Also reheats well in microwave next day.

I had a few of these sliders at Mr and Mrs Roots. They had cheddar or Colby cheese then, but they were awesome! I would gladly eat those things every day!
