Got 3 inches of rain Sunday morning in just over two hours. High winds and lots of lightning strikes. Neighbor had a tree hit by lightning split it from the top nearly to the bottom. Once things started to pass through I went down to the dock to make sure everything held together. I was good but the guy who docks next to me wasn’t so lucky. Waves came over the transom so he’s got some work to do.
Pine tree came down just missing the boat landing dock. Neighbor and I got the chainsaws out and cut it up. Fired up the log splitter and split it right away so we both got some extra firewood anyhow.
We needed the rain that’s for sure but a nice day long shower would have been better.
