To spray or not to spray

I am heading up tonight to hit the corn(planted May 11th) with gly and hell fire. I am not sure when I can get back up there again to spray in the next few weeks. Question is how do I determine if I should spray or not? If there are a lot of weeds, but only 2″ tall and the corn is 4-6″ tall do I skip it for this round? I planted corn at home on May 13th and I have quite a few very small weeds in that, but the farm is 3.5 hours to the northwest and I am not sure how the cold wet spring has affected them.

I am going to plant 3 acres of beans while I am there so it won’t be a wasted trip, but I don’t want to waste gly either. Any suggestions? The next time I can get there for sure is June 28th.

If we get some sun and warmth, those weeds could really choke out your corn I’d suspect. I guess I’d plan to wing it. If the weeds are thick hit them. If not, I’d wait.

I really don’t like to spray glyphosate until the leaves have hardened up a bit. when they are still that light green color and only a foot tall you can hurt the plant I.M.H.O.
