I had the info written down in my farm file, but for some reason I can’t find it. Can anyone refresh my memory on the ratio of gly per acre?

I try and spray 10 gallons of water per acre. the amount of gly will depend on how tall the weeds are. as little as 16 oz will work for grass that is about 1-2″ tall when the grasses get to the 6-12″ range I us 32oz per acre. last year I changed surfactant to “Hell Fire” the residual effect of this surfactant is the best I have ever used. we only had to spray one time. make sure all of your weeds have germinated before spraying. Good luck

Thanks Bob. I am going to try the Hell Fire this year also.
My plan is to spray June 7th, I planted on May 11th and the corn was 2″ plus tall as of last weekend.

The hel fire worked very well. Dad was at the farm one week after I sprayed and all of the weeds were brown and done. I also sprayed at home and with 4 days they were browning up and in 7 days they were gone. That stuff is the ticket!! It used to take up to 10 days to see any results with just gly.

They don’t call it “Hell Fire” for the heck of it MY plots that were sprayed on saturday are SMOKED!! I reduced the gly rate by 50% on 2 acres and they look the same as the ones that I sprayed at the recommended rate this stuff rocks!

So you replaced using Gly with this Hell Fire product? Is the price better/comparable?

So the Gly works better in the long run using less. Very cool. I’ll have to see if the old man wants to give this a try.

There is no comparison to regular crop oil(surfactant) and Hell Fire. we are only spraying once a year now vs 2 times in previous years. Not sure but it seems to have a residual effect that helps control weeds longer.
