thats the one…. one word of caution, When I plant them side by side in northern mn, I might get 1 extra week of green before they turn brown just like the the standard oats. In a warmer climate like Iowa they would work much better. I have had better luck with winter wheat. If you do decide to go with the bfo let me know I can get them quite a bit cheaper. I do have clients in southern mn that are sold on the BFO. it’s their money so they get what they want.

Thanks for the offer, but I have a friend that puts in an order for a couple pallets every year so I can get them thru him.

They would be planted 40 miles north of thief river falls. Do you think the winter wheat would be better?

this is a good idea of BFO vs winter rye, winter wheat would give the same results. BFO on the right side.
