Boy was I wrong Just when I thought we might get a few weeks off I decided to check a few plots that were planted in the 1st week of may.The weeds have exploded
we are now spraying about 6 plots every night some of the corn and soybeans are over 12″ tall this year we are using 46% glysophate@ 36oz per acre with 2 oz per acre of “Hell-Fire” this replaced my amonium sulphate, crop oil and non-ionic surfactant. I was going through 1-3 sprayer pumps per year. They say That this won’t ruin my pumps and at about $1.50 per acre I cant go wrong If anybody needs any info on the Hell fire shoot me a pm.

Wow, has weed control been a challenge this year. Must have been the long cold snap that we had in May that held the weeds underground as I feel like our intitial round-up kill was pretty ineffective this year.

Interesting note on the Ammonia. We too have had spray pump problems and I you may have figured it out for me. We are now double rinsing our tanks after every spray to try and save on sprayer life.
