    I am looking at upgrading my planter. Right now I have a JD 290 pull behind 2 row and it works great, but I want to upgrade to a 3 row 3 point hitch model. Any suggestions? I certainly can’t afford new, but a good rebuild would be very nice.

    I know your pain There are a few on craigslist but I am only interested in a no till planter. good luck finding what you want that jd290 is worth a good chunk of change

    I think your best bet is to just keep looking and looking. We were/still are looking at trying to get a 3 point planter as well. Found some nice 4 rows, but they always seem to be too spendy or look like they’ve been sitting behind the pole barn for a couple decades

    Call this guy in Avon, MN. He builds custom John Deere refurbished planters. I just bought a 3pt 3-row from him and the thing looks BRAND NEW! Planted 9 acres with it yesterday. Simple, easy to use and reliable. Message me if you want any additional info.
