I finished up planting the plots at the farm last weekend. 6 acres of beans, 3 acres of corn, 4 acres of clover and 1 acre of buckwheat that will be turning for brassica first week in August. I have an acre of clover, 1/4 acre of corn in at home and just need it to dry out enough to get the last quarter acre of beans in at home. Then nothing to do but fish Mille Lacs until it’s time to hit them with round up in early June.

That sounds awesome! I can not wait until I can say the same thing and just watch it grow. Spring time/planting season is always a mess, way to get it done before opener

Sounds like you have been very busy! Great job getting those in before the monsoon season started.

I get critizised sometime for putting them in too early, but when fishing opener comes that tractor gets put in the barn and the boat comes out Unfortunately the one plot left at home will have to wait until after opener, it’s just too wet. Fortunately I have it worked up and can plant one day after work when it’s a little dryer.

    How is everyone elses progress?

I am hoping it’s dry enough to plant next weekend in south dakota.

I plowed my plots and it started raining before I could get my fertilizer down. Been monsoon season since here in sc mn :doah

It was a great spring for prep work so we got them in pretty easily. I have to give kudos to my buddy who got me into plotting 8 years ago with a 1/4 acre brassica plot. Since then we have added on to plots or made new ones every year. Learned a ton and got a bunch of equipment through the years. It sure is addicting

That’s the hardest part, just waiting to see what comes up. Looking great!
