The itch to get in the plots that is. I am so jacked that I put down #2000 of Ag lime by hand with 5 gal. buckets. Very labor intensive, but at $40/ton very cost effective. The deer are smashing what I do have growing. Just need the night temps to stay up so I can get some seed in the ground.

X2 I have had the itch for weeks but I know that that late frost will destroy anything that I plant now. I am going to start on some small plots this weekend that are landlocked by farm fields

We have 17 acres bush hogged and tilled up on two different properties just waiting for the right weather. Finally getting clover in this weekend, Corn 4/21, beans and beets 4/28, Brassica 8/1, oats 9/1.

Tearing up 11ac of virgin (15yr set aside) property has been an experience to say the least. Logs, down trees, fencing, old farm equipment, milk house pumps, and random junk to name a few of the items we have found buried under the soil.

I have been so busy I havent had time to snap pictures. Here is our 5 ac destination plot.

The farmers are planting here. The corn was planted in our plot today.

Don’t get too excited boys. Lots of ice on the ponds around my house this AM.

I have 2 of the three plots at home in. One clover and one corn that I just did last night.
Heading to the farm in Fergus to get the corn in up there, then beans next weekend. I have had them ready to plant for quite a while and it’s been tough to be patient.
