Bustin’ sod with the old school equipment. This is proof that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on high dollar equipment to put in a nice food plot. This was a little sod busting to add some more plot space.

Looks like more than a “little”. What are you planting here?

There will be 4 plots total. There are two small ones right in the woods that are Red Clover and Oats. There are two big ones shown in the picture. The far one is about one acre and will be all corn. The new one that is being plowed in the picture will be about 1/2 and acre and will be a mix but I’m not sure what the final decition is on that one yet.

Planting with a very old John Deere 290 planter.

Another classic – restored (not quite finished in the pics)! Planted with it Friday though. Works perfect. 1949 Case 10-footer modified (shortened) to pull behind a 4 wheeler. Custom built disk, section of drag, and a store-bought roller. The disk pics are old too. We rebuilt this and put on interchangeable/new disks last year. I only plant about 3-4 acres with this stuff, but it all works great.
