Mother nature has been rather unpredictable from no rain last fall to very warm weather this spring has made me change up some of my proven frost seeding tactics. I normally don’t work the soil at all in the spring for frost seeding clover but with the lack of frost at night I decided to lightly work these fields with a landscaping drag before planting to insure a good seed to soil contact. I will post pics as they germinate and progress throughout the year.

These plots turned out very nice very few weeds and no tilling.

I’m very jealous Bob. The plots look awesome. We have about 5 acres that didn’t germinate for us this year. Gonna try some winter wheat in them this fall.

Was that a clover plot last year that needed some more seed or another crop? Can you heavily frost seed an old brassica plot in the spring? Looks good enough to eat , well played Mr. B.

That was a Brassica plot from last year. I only planted 3# per acre of clover and 1/4# of chicory. then hit it with 9-23-30 at 100#per acre.
