This image shows about 1/8th of this plot. On the 1st of November, this was a pretty lush looking salad bar with just a few patches of foxtail that crept in. By Nov 19th, it was more than half eaten. Just weeks later, it looks like someone hit it with the brush hog

I always get a kick out of the fact that we want our deer to eat everything we grow, but we are upset when it is all gone . I had 2, 1/2 acre plots I didn’t even get to hunt until they were picked clean in early november! Bigger and better next year, bigger for sure!

Not upset with the results at all. Just was hoping there would be some food left there over the harder winter months. The 18 rows of corn at the top that creates a privacy fence between the plot and open field is even done. Though, the coon had hit as well.

That probably didn’t sound quite right? Not saying you were upset…but wouldn’t it be cool if the same cornstalk would keep regenerating cobbs or kernels after they were picked . Kind of like a willy wonka invention . Most of my food is gone and these whitetail bandits seem to only eat at night , at least they are eating…
