Soil tests came back today in preparation for next years plots. Definately need to expand as this years are GONE! Will have a dozer in first thing in the spring to clear some brush. Already bought one acre of Pro Graze seed at Fleet with the end of the year deals. This stuff is so addictive!!!

Good stuff ! Remember to seed a little heavier with last years seed as germination will not be 100%

X2 on both previous posts. Have fun this winter planning on how you are going to construct your newly cleared area. I already had wide open space to put plots in, but if I ever get the chance to construct my own I would jump at it. I am sure you already know this, but you can really manipulate deer movement into your plots by how they are positioned and where you position all that cleared debris.

    Best of luck

Back in April of this year, I cleared all the invasive species along my wood line/food plot. This has proven very effective in controlling the deer and coyote movements into my field. It also gives them a security spot to stop at before they commit to entering the field. Here is a couple examples of how I made/placed my debris piles

Thanks for the advice guys. Now my mind is really going. I will be looking closely at the positioning of stands, and where to have the brush placed/pushed.
