Well we finally got some much needed rain and I hit my plots with some 19-19-19 and for the most part they rebounded very nicely. Some are still just so-so but others get an A+ and are seeing heavy browsing now. Who said they don’t eat brassicas until after the 1st frost was smoking something

Got some great looking plots going Pat When you get a chance, send that rain back west! Haven’t had a single significant rain since I planted the last weekend in July. Drought here is so bad that there are corns fields a guy could combine tomorrow and expect high teens for moisture %. Brutal…..

Agreed 100% I’ve been planting a mixture of brassicas in the spring for the last several years now. The nutrition that these plants produce is significantly better than most natural food sources, especially better than natural sources in the late spring and summer. The plots get used off and on throughout the growing season and then again later in the early and late fall. (normal year) My fall planted tillage radishes will be lucky to have any foliage by the time the first hard frost comes….. Every one knows what happens to brassicas after the frost, and after snow fall…..

    Again, Nice looking Plots Pat

Looks great! This Dry July/Aug by me has really taken a toll on my plots. Surprisingly, the turnips and beets are growing well sub-surface, but all the leafy forage has suffered greatly. Lost 80% or better of my soybeans, and the corn isn’t doing much better

That Big-n-beasty plot on the power line is looking pretty good! You have quite the groceries for your deer and turkeys!

? for you. On the Powerline did you need to get permission from the power company – If so who did you contact?

Nope they only have an easement to access the power line we can plant stuff there but for some reason it never grows very well Tried winter wheat this year as that will grow anywhere well anywhere except here
