We seeded some clover last fall on a trail with mixed sun/shade. As predicted, the sunny areas took off, and after some mowing, this year I’ve got a pretty good stand of in-sun clover. The areas with shade are still mostly bare-soil.

Anyone have advice for strategy/timing to do the following:

-Plant new clover in bare areas to take advantage of next spring’s sunlight prior to leaf-out
    -Overseed existing clover
    -Fertilize the existing clover
    -Fertilize the new clover seeding

The existing stuff is pretty good where it has been mowed, I just want the entire trail to be of similar high quality.

with the amount of rain we have been getting I would just spread some white clover in the bare spots. and also put down some 9-23-30 at the same time. can you trim any branches to get some light into the clover plot?
