Good to hear the bite is still on. I got tired watching the fish sitting in 25fow all fat and happy. I only boated 2 last weekend but did not spend much time out there. My boat is toast for a while due to a bad bearing deep in the motor so you might see me in 12 ft red boat with a 9.9 on it fishing in Miller Bay.

Last weekend was hot out on the main lake. We must of thru back 20 overs on Friday and at least 20 more on Saturday. Man was it fun rocking and rolling all day on Saturday. There was a little bit of a chop out there. I was very impressed with the health of the fish. They were all very fat and healthy. We managed 8 keepers for 2 days and had a blast catching all those fish.

Just curious here…Are there many Cormorants still around? Do you see them feeding in large groups like years ago? RR

johnksully, an Bill Marty. yes Bill on my depth finder I see a ton of Mayfly’s hatching and the clouds coming off the bottom. They are well feed now but some still bite and in the livewell lots of Fly’s.

yes Leech has been rolling for the last two weeks on my Guide trips, every day when I get home I feel like Im still in the boat :grin Was up in the Federal Dam area the other Day and it was rocking. Left from a resort on the south end ran 11 miles only boat up that way but I run a warrior 19ft so my guests had a smooth ride caught a 28″ eye and a 26″ up there a few days ago.

They wanted a big fish never hooked up so I ran west to goose area and picked up 7 nice eaters. Yes the fish are healty and leech is really back.

    Im glad it is

The weather has the corn just blasting off the ground around here the last two weeks. My beans are also behind, stupid spring

Is that your WW in the second pic?

Yeah that is last years ww. I will be fertilizing and discing it about august 15th. A cheap and easy way to have a good green field for many years

    Bob:

Nice looking plots, holy hannah is that corn taking off!

Your winter wheat looks like it’s drilled, do you recommend drilling or broadcasting WW? I’m sure there’s pros/cons of each, and I’m wondering if you have a preference and why?

    Thanks!

Looks great Bob! The corn I replanted took off as well. I am in the same boat when it comes to my beans, they are coming along, just a bit behind is all. Waiting for some rain so I can spread some nitrogen.

If it were anyone else I would question if they were standing or kneeling in that first pic ! Looking real nice Bob and I really like the way your winter wheat runs and turns through the middle of your corn. Looks like a very sweet, very huntable set-up you built yourself I am stocking up on urea and waiting for the right forecast before I can share some pics
