Well it’s been an interesting and frustrating planting season. With all the cold and rain early on was hard to do anything. With the help of Mike, Pat and my daughter Danielle we were able to get the destination and kill plots in this year. Here are a few pics of the kill plot. About 2/3 of it was planted with beans, corn, peas, sun flower, and sorghum. The rest of the plot will be planted in brassica, turnips and sugar beets at the end of July.

The destination plot was planted the first of May, and was planted with corn and beans. Had to replant the corn as the first go around I broadcast it and it did not take. Should have listened to Bob. Went out and hand planted about 3/4 of an acre about 2 weeks ago. I have corn!!! Next year I will do things a little different. I will post pics of the beans and corn once they mature.

We finally got some rain so those plots should start looking a lot better!

Sounds like you have a good diversity of plots, nice work on getting them in

That seeder Ben mentioned definitely works nice, probably even better for you with the soil tilled (the only thing that throws it off is large clumps of dirt).

Thanks Ben, I’ll send this to my parents. Could be nice for them in garden as they get less agile.

Thanks Ben! I found one similar that is made by earthway. This of course after I had planted it by hand.

My parents have been using one for 3 years I guess. They love the thing.
