Worked my hind end off on Saturday and got my food plots in. Put 2,600 lbs. of lime on using 5 gal. buckets(lane is wet so only 4-wheeler access), and 200 lbs. of fertilizer. Now that is work! It rained about 1/2 hr. after I was done….now bring on the warm weather. I tried the corn/soybean mix plot in one area. Just beans in another, and a grass/clover mix in a third. Also going to plant some pumpkins I started in the house.

    Man this stuff in addictive!!!!

Congrats and kudos to you for getting it in. Bob Bergeson and I had a heck of a time due to the soil being so wet. Bob got the tractor stuck on a few occassions and finally we just had to give in to mother nature. Hopefully it will dry out some this week so we can get the rest of it planted.

I think my stubborn determination to get those plots planted got in the way of my ability to use common sense I managed to get the tractor stuck twice my truck stuck once and broke the back window out of my truck when the chain broke while pulling the tractor out

Sounds like my plotting went a bit better than yours…..Plenty of time, and the wind should dry things out.

Yikes! Scary stuff. A window is a small price considering that chain could have connected with you

Nice work WWN, I think your work put you in the minority for people who have theirs all done the way this year is going
