Well I just got home and Pool5hunter is just finishing up disking the seed in. We couldnt find a planter to buy that fit our budget so we talked to Bob and he suggested that we use a spreader and do this destination plot. We used 9-23-30 for fertilizer and soybeans for this plot.

Thanks again Bob, now just hope that we didnt do something wrong

We planted our beans 8 days ago (Eagle Forage) to give them as much time as possible for pod produce. They have sprouted and are looking great! Hope to have plant pics this weekend.

From the Eagle beans that I have seen, pod production isn’t a major outcome, regardless of planting dates.. You might want to plant “regular” beans if you actually want beans to grow… But you should have one heck of a forage plot!! FYI, and good luck!!

Understand that as well. I was told to give them 120days to maximize whatever produce they may be. Sounds like Eagle is trying to fix this with the Northern mix but we shall see. They are amongst 10 acres of regular cultiver so we got er’ covered.
