Types Of Grass

This is not really a food plot question, but I thought you guys might be able to help me with this. I’m clearing out some woods and digging about an acre pond. I’d like to plant some native grass along the banks and dam to prevent erosion. The pond is mostly in the woods so the species would have to grow in shade. The routine varieties of grass that you’d plant in your yard just won’t work here. Any ideas?? I was thinking about Buffalograss.

Buffalo grass has a very poor tolerance to shade. I would consider Carpetgrass. Grows well in thick woods
