I have had good luck with it. I would take a rake and rough up the top soil before spreading. I would also plant it as early as possible so it gets as much sun as possible to get started before the tree canopy get to thick.
good deal, i have heard mixed reactions to it but want to put it a few places where i just cant get the wheeler with anything behind it, its way back in the boonies, did you put anything like lime down on it or not pat?
I planted it on an old logging road that receives very little sun light. Came in great. Turkeys used it more than the deer. Didn’t take a soil sample, but hit it with plenty of lime and the recommended fertilizer (I think it was 13-13-13). I would take Pat’s advice too and rough up the surface before planting as you will improve your chances of germination. Good luck.
Yeah i was thinking about making a bar with spikes that stick straight down to go on the snow plow of the wheeler and drag that around, i think that should good!
