Thanks for keeping up with the Monsanto news. I haven’t checked in on it for nearly a year. Pretty major stuff happening with the RR Alfalfa making it all the way to the Supreme Court!! I will be very interested to see what happens with the international debate on RR Wheat situation, unless I have already missed that news too

Are you making plans for RR Alfalfa in your plots? We just went through new seeding on both our properties and spent a lot of time researching, selecting, and nurturing a healthy stock that should last us a good couple years. We might be 3-4 years from utilizing the RR Alfalfa.

I am currently using Falcata alfalfa. this stuff is as close to rr as you can get and the deer love it! I am going to try and get some of the rr alfalfa for a side by side test.

I may try these in one of my “experimental” plots

Just be careful. Page 24 from above says that RR alfalfa isn’t permitted to be planted as wildlife plots and page 1 says that they need gps coordinated of the planted alfalfa. They are addressing pollen flow from rr to conventional or organic.

I am hoping to plant enough so that it can be baled and sold as a crop
Hope that keeps em happy If not the Falcata can take some roundup without killing it
