I’m already picturing alternating 10′ swaths of lush spring planted mature sugar beets and late summer planted turnip and radish mix.

This is awesome for my plots as weed control forced me to mix my beets with my turnip/radish late summer plot. I feel that this was the demise of my beet production this year.

I agree. Weeds were the biggest problem when spring planted A good stand of sugar beets will drive the deer crazy!

These sound great! Any idea where I can get my hands on some? Should I be able to get them through my local Co-op, or are they going to be hard to come by? Thanks in advance!
