When does everyone apply their fertilizer on plots for the fall? Planning on hitting my clover plots 1st week of sept. Just mowed couple weeks ago not sure if I should mow again with all this rain and hot weather what’s everyone’s thought on last minute food plot prepping.

TEG I have to mow again simply to prevwnt weeds from seeding out, and plan on a 0-20-20 or as close as I can with out special ordering, I plan on 200 #s per acre, I’m hopeing Bob will chime in with what he feels we should do.

I agree with qdm on the fertilizer. one thing I learned from a highly respected man by the name of Ed Spinazzola is to spread 100 lbs per acre of urea in front of your stand. the deer will head right for the area with the urea on it. this works very well on large plots to congregate the deer in front of your stand.
