Last year out of grand view, you could drive out and park.
A few of us are stopping at Mille Lacs tomorrow and spend part of the day fishing out of a day shack then up to Brainerd tomorrow night.

7 guys in our group today, 4 fish caught 1 Vexilar FLX 12 won.
Slower year than in the past for us.
It sure did not seem bad in temps out there. Wind picked up a little by it wasn’t bad.
We did mark the hole we lost the phone in. Try and get it this summer. It was in a water proof case.
No fish for us. Weather was nicer than anticipated. Lots of fun.

We did go against our norm. One .25# perch in the first 15 minutes. From a guy that fishes 3 hours every year 
The same 3 hours in january. Actually it was really cool to see him get so excited. Even had the presence of mind to yell “get a bag” when he was reeling it up.
As for the weather the repeated comment, “wow, we got so lucky today” and not sarcasm. this pic was at noon when there still wasn’t a breath of wind. Multiple guys with parkas off and bare hands. Cooled down later when the breeze came up

Nice flag patk. I’ve been to the tourney 15 times. Came close once. When it was only 100 places I finished 104. Also had about a 2-3 lbs Pike get off on the bottom of the ice. 
I found a pic of a “flag” from the tourney 2 years ago. Anyone wanna lay claim to this one?

Our room is booked for our group of 8 guys. Just did it tonight.
Booked a cabin. 4 bedroom, 8 queen beds, 4 full bathrooms, full kitchen and living room.
Awesome place too stay.
