Posted to try to find a guide for Whitefish but did’nt get much of a response. I think if I could find a good guide for the arrowhead region they could probably help me out. Anyone know someone for that area?
    Thanks

I have never used a guide up there but have contacted Ben @ Ely Ice Guides @blputnam with questions before and gotten very prompt and generous information he seems like a great guy not sure if he chases any whitefish but I know he does some laker fishing. Looks like his website is down but Google it or they have a facebook page too, or send him a message on here. Regardless he is the guy I would call and if he cant help directly I’m sure he cant point you in the right direction. Either that or try Rob Nelson @ Ely fishing guides also a good guy and should be helpful. Good luck and tightlines. Feel free to. Post an update with some fish pictures when you do get into them ;)

Tim, I think there are just very few around here who target whitefish much less guides that specialize in them. That and most waters don’t have them in fishable numbers. There is commercial harvest in Lake Superior and they are served in restaurants from Duluth all the way up the north shore. Good luck, hope you find that which you are seeking. waytogo

Bucks hardware in grand Marais may be able to get you in touch with someone. If going that far up I’d consider getting a guide for lakers in the bwca

Just got back from Florida! Highs around 80 every day. Have not been able to call around yet and am not sure if my buddy even wants a Whitefish trip-but thanks to those who helped and if the trip happens I’ll post results.
