My 86 year old dad and I went out on the river yesterday near Everts with guide Marty Hahn. We had a great time and I would highly recommend Marty to those that want to learn about the river and of course, catch fish. We were out for about 5 hours yesterday and caught 7 species of fish – including a half dozen 12 inch crappies (plus a couple keeper walleyes) for my dad to take home to eat with my mom. Needless to say my dad is a hero at home now, which was in part my goal ;) And Marty was very helpful and patient (with us both).

Only bummer was I didn’t get to meet Mr. BK – next time Brian!

Great times and memories in the Fall on the Miss..

Great to hear you had a good time and Dad sounds like he still has the fishing fire. As far as Marty goes—he is one of the good guys. He has forgot more about the river than I will ever know and he always has a smile and a kind word for a guy out on the water. Those are some nice crappie!!!

Be careful what you wish for big guy! )

Glad you had a good time out. Dandy crappy with a 12 inch smile!

Marty is a good guide and a better person. Can’t go wrong with him on the kicker handle!

Marty is a class act! Can’t go wrong hiring him as your guide.

    That smile says it all.

Good work Marty. An even better job for you Frydog in getting your Dad out. And that crappie has way more class than a walleye!
