Oh come on now, who doesn’t have Facebook these days?
That looks like an awesome sport BTW!
Is it only a FB thing? I feel like I’m missing out.

Don’t give in.
Oh come on now, who doesn’t have Facebook these days?
There are actually a lot of us that don’t
I used to but it is a huge time waster. I can only look at so many pictures of cute kittens and babies. Besides that, FB ran unethical psychology experiments on their users without proper consent or without being informed and that’s when I said “Enough!” Bye bye FB.

Heh? How did they do that?

Facebook… is that something new? Been working, and fishing whenever spare time allows, must have missed it. Oh well, still alive and doing ok.

Google it. Use this term “facebook psychology experiment”

Yep. No idea what this is about.

No FB for me either. Only one in my family that isn’t tho. My life is my life don’t need to report every little thing!! Besides, there is always IDO😜
you do realize you can choose to not open FB or to not post on FB ? your sister in law taking your picture at the picnic, is posting it there, whether you like it or not… your on FB and to what extent you won’t know unless you are… no different than IDO unless you make it different. (IDO has a HUGE presence on my FB… BTW)
The nice thing about FB is that you get to decide who you’re friends with and what information you want to see and share. You don’t have to share with your friends when you go to the bathroom each day, and if you don’t want to know when people are popping a pimple at the grocery store – simply don’t friend those who post things like that.
When used appropriately, it’s a nice way to share hunting and fishing pictures with your family and friends, and know what your family and friends are up to. I enjoy seeing pictures of my nephews/nieces/cousins who I may not get to see too often. It’s also fun to follow businesses to see what new products or promotions they have available. Who doesn’t like giveaways?
Do some people use Facebook annoyingly? You bet! But you don’t have to friend or follow those people either. As with anything, there’s always options and customization at hand.
If my friends or family want to show me a picture; they’ll have to send it to me via text or email.
I think you’ll find many “Friends” on FB that wouldn’t communicate with you at all if you weren’t a like button away.
FB is an easy way to seem social without actually being social. Seem like a friend without actually being a friend. How many that post on your “Wall” call you every month, or even once a year?
It took time, but eventually i no longer regretted dropping the hundreds of “Friends” off FB when i closed my account. I realized that i didn’t need the “interaction” with people not close enough to call, text, or email me personally.
I have LInkdin for professional use.
IDO for meeting new people and sharing ideas and fishing stories/tactics.
I have my phone for friends and family.
It’s great to have 400 “Friends” on FB and see their pictures and read their stories. How does a person have time to actually be friends with 400 people?
That’s just me. I don’t worry about what others find enjoyable. To each their own!
