So didn’t want to jack BC’s thread. What brand callers are you guys liking. I bought a Primos brand rut roar and it is adjustable, just not sure I sound like I should.

I have the flextone bone collector. It will do fawn and doe bleats, grunt and snort wheeze. I like it.

I got a Primos one, that I really like, and a Woodhaven one I bought that the Hunting Public were endorsing with a THP discount I used.

Most realistic grunt call I’ve ever used is the Primos Still Grunter, and I use it without the tube.

I’ve tried a ton of them. My favorite is my old True Talker by Hunters Specialties. The new Version of it is not as good as the old one, but still the best I’ve found.

With nearly fifty years of hunting experience, I can state with certainty that it’s not so much the brand or model of a gadget, as its use and application, that produces. Waaaay too many hunters use a grunt call like a duck call, loud and frequent. So unless you’re targeting yearling bucks, don’t give your location away by random grunts. Use your call judiciously and with restraint, calling only to bucks you’ve already seen. If he’s coming your way, shut up and let him come. It may take an hour or so. Mature bucks are mature because they’re cautious. Don’t “blow” (pun intended) a golden opportunity to harvest the buck of a lifetime just because you’ve become impatient.

I bought the flambeau mad r.i.p grunt call. Grunts snort wheeze and doe bleat all in one. I just bought it, but the online reviews were all good.

Thanks guys I ordered the Still Grunter, my other one is a little bulky and wanted something easier to hang around my neck, so looks like it fits the bill. So thanks again Waldo. Fishthumper I looked at that one after I placed the order and it seems like a good one also. Might end up with two now.

Primos buck roar it has been one of the best grunt tubes i’ve used. There are many out there maybe not a big issue which brand . I just have used so many and my best results are from this call.

I use a Primos and blow it every 45 minutes or so. Not sure if that’s the right way but I’ve had success or luck doing it that way.

    Good info, well played.
