I just had my house resided and it involved removing the dish from the side of the house and reinstalling it after the siding was replaced . The dish was installed by Bell . It was grounder by a 40 foot #10 copper wire that ran along the wall . When the siding was replaced the ground was not hooked back up . I can reinstall the ground if needed but would prefer not to if it is not necessary as it would involve putting a bunch of screws into my new siding . Cant get a reasonable opinion as to reattach it or not . The new siding is hardboard with a weather proof coating but I don’t like the idea of putting holes into hardboard. The dish is not above the roof peek so I don’t think it would attract lightning and if it did I doubt a ground would make a difference ? Maybe I am wrong ?
    Thanks for your input
