    It’s been a few years since I’ve been active on this site. Retired 3 years ago and relocated to Rio Rancho, New Mexico after spending 21 years in the Davenport, Iowa area.

    Hi Bill. Im still here, mostly lurking. Dont fish or hunt as much as I used to, but still love hearing about it. Happy retirement and welcome back.

    Thanks, been fun finding fish in the mountain lakes…so far I’ve caught some crappie, white bass, blue gills, catfish and rainbow trout.

    FW and I planning to spend a week or more in January wandering around and exploring New Mexico. Stayed in Las Cruces for a few days on our way thru to visit son in Yuma a couple years ago and loved it, 40’s to 60’s in January, and sledded down the dunes in White Sands NP. So now you’ve given me another reason to hang around there….fishing. Thanks. Ran the old line about taking a left at Albuquerque with several locals on our way thru that part, but nobody ever heard of that…..no Bugs Bunny fans I guess.

    I’ll admit the weather is great here. There was a time when my plan was always to move north…I guess all of the Iowa winters wore me out. October is a fun month, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is going on now. My bucket list includes a ride in a hot air balloon. The road runner and coyote always bring back fond memories.
