    When we started In-Depth Outdoors’ magazine one of our goals was to include stories from our members as a way to tap into a knowledge base that far exceeds our own and get to know more about what makes our members tick, in their own words!

    If you know anything about Steve “Rootski” Root you know he lives to fish and if he had to choose how to spend his last day on the water you’d likely find him with long rod in hand, pre-dawn, chasing largemouth!

    I had the chance to go out and shoot some photos with RootSki for this article, and what a great guy! He wrote a great article and I hope to see more from him soon!

    All of the new articles have great photography. Combined with the redesigned website, IDO really has the A game going on. Well done to both the authors and photographers.

    Definitely a great fishing hat and a great article. Love fly fishing just don’t get to do it enough lately.
