With the recent border situation with Canada, we are scrambling to find options for a replacement trip. We are supposed to leave for Clearwater Lake for Lake trout next Tuesday, I don’t think that will happen now.

End of March, not many options out there. Fort Peck ice is pretty well shot, walk on only now.

Thinking about Green Bay/Fox River in a boat. Anybody ever done an early spring trip over there?

Or any other options to consider? Any great laker lakes in NE MN to think about? We would be ok with camping on the ice if thats what it comes too.

The Fox is open and the fish are biting. Should pick up over the next 10 days as the water warms. The Wolf River is open, too. Bite is slow but will also pick up with warmer water.

What was that site with the live under water camera feeds on the fox river. That was addicting last spring.

If I could get away I would be taking the boat to Erie.

Erie would be great, but I don’t think we have enough time for the extra drive.

I’m heading to the Fox next weekend. Was going to go this weekend but the cooldown has me thinking next weekend will be better.

Man did I see some big walleyes pictured on a co workers phone. He was fishing on the bay in front of a river that dumps into the bay. 27-31″. River to remain unnamed. This was late last week.
