It sure is nice to have a show that has current shows instead of rehashing last summer or fall. I enjoyed them all.

The best fishing show on TV. A Great season with amazing diversity! I’m not into ice fishing but still found these shows interesting. 26 weeks is too short, but I understand the guys need a break. Heres to next season.

Thanks Boss Hawg… and everyone else! We had a fantastic season and while there’s always the desire to keep going our bodies need a break and our production equipment needs fixing! The plan on this end is to rest up for a couple weeks then rolling right into planning and filming for next season in the hopes that we’ll be able to make season 10 our best ever!
Oh yeah, and here’s the season finale.
I want to send out a huge THANK YOU to all the IDO Pro Staff guys that helped make season 9 possible. There’s no humanly possible way we could do what we do without their help! You know who you are!
Cool send off James, and it sure was fun getting out in the boat again. I wanted to take the time to thank the entire IDO crew as well. It’s hard to echo what you said in the show as well as you did, but I have to agree 100% in that it takes a team of true professionals to pull off what we did. I look back with alot of pride in the crew we have, and especially those guys on the front lines. From Ben Brettingen on the camera, having the foresight and direction to know the shots before he sees them and as they’re happening, to Pat McSharry, crafting the story in a way that highlights our full potential, and finally to Ben Larson for having the creative polish to continually evolve the shape of the final product to what we see on the TV screen.
James – THANK YOU for everything this year. Through thick and thin, you work some crazy long hours, through brutal conditions, in far-away places with impressive poise and determination. You’ve really built something here, and your drive has pushed us all in a way that makes each individually better for it, with the end result being far greater than just the sum of our parts.
Words aren’t enough to express my gratitude and congratulate all of you on your efforts.
Here’s to some fun summer fishing, a short respite, and plenty more adventures to come!

And if you want to know how many people are watching just go to a tackle place and try to find a Rippin Rap. After being in that crazy business I tend to watch new products on shelves and whether they are moving. Your first ice shows sold out the UL’s and last weekend the shelves at Fleet were pretty much void of the larger ones. It was well stocked the week before. Last year you couldn’t find a Slender Spoon anywhere, lot’s of them this year.
James – Did you trade in your MX2025 for a WX1910? How do you like the small screen Helix at the bow?
Congrats on another great season IDO! I too really enjoy the show, the great information and tips given. Looking forward to next season!

I’ve had one in the tackle box this spring because of the show, but never used it till Saturday. Fished all kinds of presentations, depths, etc. without a bite for hours. Was on the verge of getting skunked. Threw on the rippin’ rap for the 1st time in my life. In my first 3 casts I got a very nice white bass, a decent smallie, and 25″ Northern. I’m now a believer of the rippin rap as well!

Nope, I still have the MX 2025. Just trying to get the WX 1910 some time in the shows since it is the newest boat from Skeeter and the 1910 is a great fit for a lake like Leech.
Regarding the Helix – I find it very, very difficult to view the units when wearing sunglasses, even when viewed head on. I don’t know if they’re using different screen technology to hit a price point but I don’t have this issue with my 1198.
Great season IDO fishing crew!
Loved the last show and showing some great information. Keep up the great work!
Hands down the best fishing show on TV for what us guys/gals in the Midwest want to go after on the water! The show is insightful, informative and fun to watch. What more could anyone ask for? When does the next season start James?

Thanks MX! I haven’t finalized start dates with FSN for season 10 but I’m sure we’ll start mid-November as we have in the past few years.
Great stuff as always guys! Last night I caught myself streaming the Leech episode on my phone, while browsing the website on my computer…so umm you’re welcome!
Congrats to all of you on another awesome season! You guys always bring your best often in some nasty conditions and I appreciate how it is all so genuine and offered at a level that everyone can get something out of it. I love the variety and the local/Midwest focus and all of the hosts seem so down to earth and willing to help.
THANKS!
Looking forward to season 10 in the fall
Dave

Just echoing all the above. Had a great time at the LOW gtg and look forward to another one this winter.
This site and it’s members have made me a measurably better angler.
Keep it up!
James,
I’m sure you have enough material for a “Bloopers” episode to tide us over until next season.

X2 precisely what I was thinking.
Can’t thank all of the IDO crew enough for the high quality show that they provide. I truly think that the show is what we in Minnesota/midwest are interested in seeing. There are very few ice fishing programs to be found it seems and the fact that it is relevant when it airs is greatly appreciated. Until next season I wish all of you guys the best.
Hopefully there is some event that may happen during the summer for all the IDO fans?

Just follow Koonce and Nelson around… shouldn’t take long.
You have some inside info you might want to share?
Thanks for being just what the midwest needs a great informative show with honesty, up front info, and the best part REAL Fisherman who love to fish and do what they do sharing it with the world! Keep up the hard work fellas and looking forward to next season But I’m with the other guys on the whole Blooper shows through the summer thing I think it would be entertaining to see what the life is like on the other side of that lens
thanks again guys
