Never salmon fished before this day.. I would like to thank everyone involved in this gathering and i wold no doubt do it again !!!
Even though fishing was what the pros call really slow…I don’t know what I would do with even more salmon to eat !!! LOL

It was great to see several familiar faces and to meet several new ones !!! I believe the weather gods were very kind to us all. ..

Here are a couple of our bigger fish from this weekends SS G2G !!!

Never salmon fused before this day.. I would like to thank everyone involved in this gathering and i wold no doubt do it again !!!

What he said x2. Even though we didn’t do as well on the salmon I learned a ton from Gary, even not what to do during a quadruple snag frenzy… just wish he would have let me contribute more $ toward the hardware losses. Thanks again partner, you were an excellent host.

I wasn’t even upset when I got home and my wife took Alaskan salmon out of the freezer. I got my fill of the local kings at lunch Saturday. Randy’s grilled and Nate’s smoked fish were delicious.

Hope to see you all again soon!

All I can say is what an awesome awesome event. Yes, the weather gods were very kind as the seas were very manageable and the weather was great. I would do this again in a heartbeat and would not be shy about other IDO events either – what a great group of guys!

As James said in his post, there was plenty of great food at the Saturday lunch and no shortage or options – it was all good!

The fishing was slow but we all got fish and learned a lot from my boater Joel. Joel was a great host, always teaching and very patient with this rookie. Joel worked his a$$ off trying to find fish and trying to get them to bite which turned out to be the hard part. We also had some issues keeping them connected but did manage to put 8 in the boat. For me it was also great to have the opportunity to get out in the boat with my Dad. At 76 he held his own over two long days and very little sleep – at least he only had an hour drive home.

Thanks to everyone involved in the planning and to all who shared at the tables. It was great to meet some of the IDO crew in person and finally put faces with the names and posts.

Thanks so much and Keep it up!!!

    Dave

GLad you all could make it down and had a good time. The fishing was definitely much tougher than I would’ve hoped for, but this year has just been that way. At least we had great weather, food, and company which makes up for the lack luster fishing. And, it sounds like everybody caught at least a few, so people got at least a taste of what fishing out here is like. Take care everybody! Maybe we’ll see ya next year….
