Re: LakeMaster® Legacy MN and WI Products – Mississippi Pools 1-8

    LakeMaster® Customers,
LakeMaster Lake Maps is proud to have released the most comprehensive digital hydrographic data ever collected for anglers on the Mississippi River in Pools 1-8. It is only available on the latest release of the Minnesota and Wisconsin Legacy cards ($99) for Lowrance and Eagle units. No competitive product or even previous LakeMaster® products have ever shown as much detail, to this degree of accuracy as the Minnesota Legacy Version 6 and Wisconsin Legacy Version 4.

Although Pools 2 & 3 are not 100% complete, the areas yet to be surveyed are minimal in comparison to the over all coverage offered on the new LakeMaster® releases. Out of the 200 miles of Mississippi coverage in these Pools, less than 3% is yet to be completed. When and as these areas are surveyed over the next 2 years, they will be added to future LakeMaster® products. All depth and wing dam data available on previous LakeMaster® products has been incorporated into these two releases.

LakeMaster Lake Maps has consistently followed our policy of releasing as much surveyed water as possible for anglers rather than hold back large areas or regions until they are completed. As an example, our survey of Lake of the Woods and the Rainy Lake area is in the 6th year of continuous survey efforts. Not releasing portions or any of this chart until it is complete is economically unrealistic.

LakeMaster Lake Maps also makes every effort to explain the details of our extensive surveyed Hi-Def coverage. However, there is only so much room on product packaging for this information. Even printed supplements within the package may unfortunately fall short of a complete explanation for our customers. Our web-site http://www.lakemap.com is the final resource for this level of information and we continuously update our site and welcome your visits.

LakeMaster Lake Maps is proud to be the number one choice for digital GPS charts in the upper Midwest. We will make every effort possible to keep our Customer Service in that same number 1 position. In the event any of our customers feel they were misinformed about the content of the new Minnesota or Wisconsin Legacy products, we will arrange for their product to be returned to the dealer for a full refund. They may contact us at [email protected] for details.

Thank you for your loyalty to LakeMaster® products,

Won’t Pool 4 change a bit after the Dam 3 constuction work and re routing of current etc? That would be a good one to hold off until next year.

Will there be changes? Absolutely. The river is always changing. Not sure how critical that new data will be given the wingies and other key features won’t change but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an updated survey of the area after the work is done.

So does this mean the 2010 insight chip, I just bought from them isn’t the lastest & greatest?

Latest and greatest… what? I know the Insight Chip does NOT have the Pools 1 – 8 contours on it. You’ll need the 2010 Legacy chip for that. The Insight chip you have is the first release of the 3D shading capability that can be displayed in Lowrance HDS units. So from that perspective I guess it is the latest and greatest. I guess it all comes down to what you want out of the chip. If you want the 1’ contours on pools 1 – 8 and you bought the Insight chip… you bought the wrong one.

Does anyone know if they have fixed the problems they were having with this in the 522C? Looking to pick one up but not until then.

Didn’t realize there was a problem with the 522. I’m thinking of picking up the New chip and will let you know if it works!

i have a lms 520 and bought a 2010 version 6.1 lakemaster chip and i had to send it back to them to get data put on it. it took about a week and was completely free. i would say it is a good value and have used it a lot already and it is so right on the money with depth and wing dams it’s not even funny. will make u 10 times the captain with boat control.
