My dad purchased this unit and chip last winter and is having trouble with chip showing names of flats reefs ect…shows contour just fine. I’m wondering if its the chip not having them on it or a setting on unit? Any info would help thx!
I have v2 and mine does not show names of bays and reefs. I have borrowed v1 before I bought my own and it had all the names. I could not find anything in the settings. I think the v2 chip does not show as many names.
What year is the v1 chip? v2 being the newest?
No names on mine
There is a new software upgrade for the Elite 7 have you done that yet, it is suppose to fix some bugs like this

Not sure of the year but my v2 chip is 2 years old. Not sure about the v1 chip.
