Got a chip for the 522c and having issues
Put the chip in and it freezes up the unit

Took it out, shut down the unit, turned it back on, then put the chip back in and the unit shuts down and turns off.

What’s up, or what should i be doing differently?

What size chip, those older units only work with 512 or maybe 1mb chips anything bigger they cant process…

What manufacture made the chip, level and version? If its from Lakemaster, the last version that I think will work on the LMS 522c is LPMNC7.

If I have my unit powered on I can remove the working chip but it will shut down when I put a chip in.

If I need to change chips I have to power down, change chips then power up. Have you tried this?

Generally with any Electronics, Chips, etc., you should never pull chips out and put chips in with the power turned ON!

You could get a static charge/shock to the chip destroying all data.

Most manufacturers recommend replacing chips with power off.
