Got into some crappies

    Did some fishing on Jan 1 and today(jan3) and got into the slabs. Nothing huge but not bad considering how tough the bite was during mid day. This afternoon was a lot better. At dusk, right on cue, they started feeding “wicked hahd”, as we say in Maine. Iced 12 between myself and a friend for the fry pan and released just as many. They were hot for about a half hour, then the bite died off. We caught some perch and a couple blue gills as well.
