I didn’t understand much of what you said, but I believe you
When I do a search for
“boat cover”
I get 72 results
As I get to the end of the first page of results
I momentarily see the red button
Load more results
which is quickly overlaid by some grey message
and then the load more results is never again to be seen.
I can not get to results on the additional pages
I’ve noticed a few odd things lately on iPad and iPhone. When selecting an item from the today’s topics bar, the next page will not have my login pic or the menu arrow at the top. If I refresh it usually fixes it but not always.
@biggill – I was just speaking with James about the mobile display and the absolutely positioned “today’s topics” being a stumbling block there. I’ll be making some changes there this week so hopefully that’ll solve the issue.
@eyekatcher – that one will be a bit before I can sort it out. I realized you’re searching using the top input on the page. This is searching blog posts and not the forum.
There is also a search box in the left hand sidebar here with “search forums” above it. This gives a lot more than 72 results and it is paginated. (not that continuous scrolling deal)
But the quality of the results isn’t the best either. I had to put double quotes around it in order for the results to be more relative. I searched for “boat cover” and got back almost 800 results.

Actually, I just now noticed that it isn’t just related to today’s topics. I clicked on one from t the general discussion forum and had the same issue.
Thanks – I’ll have to hunt down a iDevice but will definitely look into this. Is this also the case with Safari on desktop? Or is this just with iOS / Safari?
@biggill – I’m seeing it too but more so after clicking today’s topics. I’ll have a look at the recent javascript changes. It has to be related to that.
Thanks for letting me know!
I noticed one other thing. I’m no longer seeing the forum title at the top of the page when I open a thread. I know it was missing when the site was first launched, then you guys added it and now it’s gone again.
Not trying to be a pest
@biggill – that forum title was in the bread crumbs? I’ll have those back in working order by Sunday. First I need to reorganize the today’s topics positioning. Now that the bread crumbs are more complete a good portion of them are hidden behind today’s topics when browsing the forums.
Oh – also let me know if the vanishing avatar is still happening. I hopefully got that cured early this morning. Thanks!

Looking good so far this morning!
Dave, great job on the notifications. I see that when I reply to a pm, the notification is marked as read. That’s a big help.
I did find one small bug. My avatar photo in the top right corner is missing only on the iPhone. iPad it works fine.
@biggill – Thanks! I’ll keep this in mind while I iron out the mobile display. The weekend was mostly centered around untangling javascript and now that’s straight I can focus on the mobile header.
I hope you don’t mind me nit picking the little things, but I figured you could add it to a list where you could get to it in the far future.
I now noticed that when I go to the fishing forums page I’ll see some fourms are highlighted as if there are unread posts in that forum. When I open it it appears as though all the threads are read.
@biggill – I haven’t seen that myself yet but I’m not surprised. The current tracking isn’t the best. My guess would be that there are unread topics/replies further into the forum? Not sure really.
The replacement forum is coming along but unfortunately there’s no way to do it quickly. The more I dig into things the more I see how heavily dependent the bbpress/buddypress plugins are with one another and with wordpress. The “code is poetry” tag line used by wordpress makes me wonder what kind of poetry they’ve been reading. lol
Is there a “mark all read” button somewhere? Also, when you click on a topic it used to take you to the last one you read.. change coming?
Thanks!!!!
How do I get to the, ‘CRAWLER QUESTION?’ Page? where people discuss nightcrawlers and how they keep them alive in there own habitat? its says page not found, and I was just on it the other night?

Hi guys,
I can’t seem to upload a profile photo. I click on select file and nothing happens. Help?
Deron
Normally when that happens your file is too large. Shrink it to under 1 meg.
Can I start a group on painting crankbaits? I have been teaching people how to paint lures for a while and I just happened to come across your site. I don’t see anything on painting lures. I don’t sell my lures, I just like painting them and showing others how to paint them.

Go under groups and click on D.I.Y. Rods & Tackle and apply for admittance. Once accepted introduce yourself and what you do. Pretty good group of guys on this web site.
