Yeah that is my biggest knock on him. If I was a player I would risk getting benched in favor of pouring it on.
Yeah, having to swap goalies due to an equipment issue and then UMASS essentially scored right off the faceoff. I guess it was a new rule this year, Bob could have used a timeout I guess, but that is a sorta dumb rule.
The article I read stated he could use a time out but a strap was broke on one of the leg pads and required longer to repair than one minute for a timeout. So that’s why he didn’t call a timeout and put the other goalie in briefly while it was being repaired.
Bob’s teams always back off when they get a lead like this. As Werm stated, his teams at St Cloud were notorious for it, as was his team two years ago in the championship game against Quinnipiac.
