Simply amazing how college hockey has fallen off the radar around here.

I’m not even sure what to say. When the gophers left the wcha I felt the rivalry was as hot as it ever was.

Yeah this game has been fantastic so far, but somehow all the excitement is gone. All of it.

I heard they jacked up the prices for seats for this game, probably one reason for some empty seats.

North Dakota Hawks just doesn’t sound right and their logo doesn’t look right either.

There’s nothing right about any part of this. Especially now that the singing sparrows have scored.

I’m gonna go make a cocktail now.

They sure are making it interesting at least.

It amazes me how they’ve screwed this up.
Now the Big 10 (football) is going to start playing on Friday nights. Most of the big schools have already said no thanks.

These schools are getting filthy rich yet the athletes can’t even get a part time job.

Hasn’t stopped them from raising tuition. They can’t build buildings fast enough over there. Makes you wonder what the real football schools in the Big$ are doing with all their money. Well, besides hiring big time coaches.

With these TV contracts they should be letting kids attend for a couple thousand dollars a year.

Good thing the kids playing the game still enjoy it, nothing better than playing for the School you choose and the students you go to class and hang out with. Making friends that last a life time,does it really get any better than that while your young?

Let them enjoy it without bashing them.
Someday they may also be tired old grumpy arses who can’t find the game on The boob tube.

I’m not bashing the kids, I feel bad for them. I know they’re having a great time and all that, it’s just a struggle for some of them. I’m sure some are being treated pretty well under the table.

So since the game had sooooo many empty seats last night I thought maybe tonight my boys and I would grab some tickets and go to the game.

First I looked at C List to see tickets priced at $100 and listed as under face value, Huh?

I kept looking, more $115 per ticket FACE. A pair at $200 UNDER Face.

So I went on line to buy tickets from the U directly. Sure Shart, Standing Room Tickets are now more than face value for season tickets I bought about 6-7 years ago. $50 SRO, $80, $100 and $115 at the ticket prices.

So thinking that was on the high side I checked SCSU, UMD Mankato all within a fair distance I am willing to drive. Those schools most expensive ticket is $48!!!!! Red line seat bank tickets at any of those arenas cost the same as SRO at U of MN.

I took some time off from attending Gopher games due to my boys Hockey seasons.
Now the product SUCKS. No offense to the players it is the coaches and admins falt and Tickets cost nearly as much as the Wild. NO THANKS.

The Big 10 was a huge mistake for college hockey. The NCHC is continuing to dominate with UMD, Denver, and North Dakota taking the top three rankings!

I thought they said during yesterday’s game that some tickets went for $490.

The hockey has been fantastic. Unfortunately the empty seats dims the mood significantly.

I remember back in the 90’s, my dad always used to watch the games and say “look at all the empty seats”. That’s when there were 1000 empty seats. And never during a und, umd, or scsu game. Now there’s 4000 empty seats. He’s rolling in his grave for sure.

I thought it was pretty cool when driving home from up North tonight I pulled the Gopher game from the Duluth radio station.

I made the statement last week the Gophers should move over to Ridder so they can sell out. Some thought I was kidding……….I wasn’t.

The Gophs are pitching a shutout late in the third, pretty good hockey!

Shierhorn played his ass off. He deserved 2 shutouts tonight. DT I’m not sure if you watched closely, but he was square to the shooter one every shot. Even the one-timers.

I always watch the goalies the closest. He is definitely an athlete.

Tuned in for a second. They were trailing 2-1 in the second. Yet another Minnesota team giving them all they can handle.

Lets make that 4-1. The route is on.

Nothing wrong with losing t o Mankato they have a decent team.
The Gophers will be there when the big tournament starts? Really the Gophers are the only Team in the state of MN, that is capable of winning the NCAA Tournament.

It’s tough for all the little brothers to keep up.
